Perhaps you haven't been following the industry of late...it's slow here...really slow...and has been for 4-5 years. I wouldn't seek automotive employment...I would look into aero-space. Chrysler's laying off, GM just laid of a LOT, Ford's about to lay off more...and many jobs are going overseas. Check out Boeing in Seattle, Freightliner in Portland OR, FalconJet in AK, and Gulfstream in GA....
